In his 15-year career as a colourist, Luis Pacheco has become a star in his own right. The beauty industry praises Luis for his natural-looking, sun-kissed goldilocks, so much that he is renowned as the “master of blondes” by his colleagues and clients.
“I am thrilled to be part of the Clairol Canada team and have the opportunity to share my expertise and love for hair colour and beauty with a broader audience of women,” says Luis. “I love making women feel beautiful, and in my field, the range and quality of Clairol products makes that a possibility for all women. After all, beauty is about having choices.”
Born in the Azores, Luis began honing his craft at the age of 16. Upon graduating from George Brown College in 1994, he kick-started his career under Toronto’s ingenious Robert Gage. Luis’ innovative hair colour masterpieces quickly landed him a job as one of the stylists heading up the New York operations at Salon Jie in Manhattan. Two years later he came to Toronto and completed a nine-year run with the company as their Head Colour Technician before opening his own salon.
Hair on The Avenue reflects Luis’ friendly personality and provides clients with cutting edge fashion and beauty trends in a stylish beauty parlour atmosphere. In warmer weather, clients are welcome to sit in the garden and sip cappuccinos while their colour processes.
A mere two years since he opened Hair on the Avenue, Luis’ clientele includes musicians, actors and high-powered business women - the who’s who of Canadian high society. However, you won’t hear it from the man with a strict “no style and tell” policy.
